With the bases loaded and 2 outs, the batter hits a home run over the left-center field fence. All three runners and the hitter have crossed home plate and returned to their bench. With the next batter in the box, the defense turns and appeals that the runner who started on first has (A) missed second base, or (B) missed third base.

Game Situation:
The lead-off batter hits a short fly ball on the infield. The pitcher, first baseman, and catcher allow the ball to fall between them near the pitcher's mound. The ball, without being touched, rolls toward the first base line, where the first baseman, standing with both feet in fair territory, picks it up six inches into foul territory.
